Choose a payment frequency
Understand every two weeks, twice a month, short months, and series endings.
Overview
The frequency and starting payment date work together to define a schedule. The start date must fit the selected pattern; it is not a separate one-time exception. Review the upcoming dates before saving.
Choose the right pattern
- Every two weeks repeats on the same weekday, fourteen days apart. Choose the weeks-based frequency and an interval of 2.
- Twice a month uses two different calendar day numbers, such as the 5th and 20th. It is not the same as every two weeks.
- Monthly on this date uses the starting date's day number. A day missing from a shorter month is skipped, not moved to month end.
- Last day of month follows each month's final calendar day. Start it on a date that is already a month end.
- Every weekday includes Monday through Friday. Holidays are not excluded.
Where Repeat interval is shown, its unit follows the frequency: days, weeks, or months. For example, an interval of 3 with a months-based frequency means every three months, not three payments each month. The supported interval is 1 through 60.
Set a series end
After a count counts payments, including the first one. It is not a number of months. On a date includes matching occurrences through that date; it does not add an extra payment outside the pattern.
Troubleshooting
Monthly and twice-monthly patterns do not automatically move weekend payments. If the preview omits a date, check short-month rules, the series end, and the starting date. Past dates are omitted from the upcoming preview but still count toward a total-occurrence limit.
